Nadira Irdiana is a feminist researcher and activist who is currently living in Victoria, Australia. Most of the time, you will find her constantly thinking of solutions to gendered world problems. She has more than 10 years of experience in the international development sector, working for non-governmental organisations, a research institution or an intergovernmental organisation, advocating for child protection issues such as child marriage and female genital mutilation/cutting prevention, and youth engagement. Besides that, she also secretly dreams of being a film director or a scriptwriter.
She is now a PhD candidate at Monash University, Australia, with research on female genital mutilation/cutting and norm change in Indonesia. She graduated with a Master of Arts (MA) degree from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands, in International Relations (Global Governance). Her BA (Hons) degree in International Politics is from Middlesex University, London, United Kingdom.
This blog generally contains my observations about my own world, travel destinations, politics, international relations, gender issues, philosophy, art, language, literature, music, film, traditional culture and popular culture.
